If there were a real Fountain of Youth, would you drink the water? — Daily Prompt
No. I prefer to age gracefully and mature into a sterling gentleman. There’s beauty in refined maturity that can’t be had in the vigor of youth. Youth offers freedom, athleticism, verve, and more, alas, youth is wasted on the young.
I’m older and wiser now. I find the following verse helps me remain confident in aging:
When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.
