Brooklyn Street Art
by Sanctified Brother
I saw this amazing example of Brooklyn street art today on Lafayette Avenue, near the C train station. It reminded me or a cross between ancient woodcuts and Tom Feelings’ paintings for some reason. I don’t know who the artist is or when it was commissioned, however it appears to be from a talented artist and have been there for a while.
There’s an earthy, worn texture to the art, exaggerated because it’s affixed to the side of a brownstone’s steps. The artwork is convincingly out of place affixed to the brownstone and that odd juxtaposition adds to the uniqueness of the work.

This is great. Very expressive.
Sure is! There’s a lot of other artwork I want to photograph around Brooklyn, too. I’ll post them as I can. Thanks for stopping by!
That’s great. so many talented individuals.
I love it when I get to a gallery or art show and see a variety of artists in one place. I missed a great show last week because I had to go out of town.
